In more than 17 years of World of Warcraft, our heroes were traveling in over four dozen different battles and have sent hundreds of bosse in the dust. We defeated tremendous dragons, put on us with oversized fish and are immersed in the spirit of old gods.

- The best raids of wow history
Of course, in this race of bosses and raids, it is clear that the level can not be continuously high. So we visited various slaughter trains in the past, whose name we have forgotten quickly. But even those who have remained exactly in mind for a decade later. So today we want to take a look at the best RAIDS of WOW history and introduce you to our editorial top 5 top 5.
WOW Patch 9.2: The new raid mausoleum of the first
The best raids of wow history
But what makes good RAID at all? For us, these are several factors. On the one side, of course, the story around the raid. But also the quality of the fighting and the staging play a big role. And of course, personal preferences can not be completely out of the outside – which is why we are curious if you match our top 5.
Following our video in which we explain in detail why what Raid has thrilled us so, you will find our ranking in a short summary.
Rank 5 – Battle of Orgrimmar
In Siege of Orgrimmar, we experience the storm against the iron horde and the fall of the controversial warhead of Garrosh hillscream. The storm through and under the capital of the Horde is waiting for us with 14 different bosses on us – including a few beaded -oil, but also upstanding counterparties such as the siege engineer sootmith or of course endboss Garrosh itself.
Place 4 – Naxxramas
The flying necropolis was not just the endpoint of the classic WOW (Buy Now), but also applies to many players as an epic raid of this time – and not only due to the very high degree of difficulty. In a few raids, the number of memorable bosses is as high as in Naxx. Thaddius topped hard-to-turn-right weaknesses, Heigan brought us dancing, patchwork created a whole category of boss fight – the patchwork Fights – and the four riders still ensure nightmares at some RAID conductor today.
Place 3 – Ulduar
For many players, Ulduar is still considered today as the epic raid in WoW. Unfortunately, our heroes spent little time in the great halls of the Titans before going on to the disappointing exam of the Crusader. Ulduar convinced above all with a gigantic atmosphere and some iconic struggles. In addition, we were allowed to spank the butt in Ulduar some bosses in an optional hard mode. Who does not like to remember the big red button of the Roboingenieur Mimiron.
Place 2 – Throne of Thunder
The big raid on the island of thunder united everything we can wish for a raid. A great atmosphere, partly ingenious and creatively designed boss fights and of course a well-told story, which turned from the start of Mistts of Pandaria to our inevitable victory over the Donnerkönig. For the fight against just those Le-Shen, the RAID would have earned a place in this list.
Place 1 – Ice Cream Citadel
The Best Raid of WOW History, which is almost unanimous for us, is – and how could it be different – the ice crown citadel! The iconic end of the successful extension Wrath of the Lich King is not only a breathtaking RAID – but also forms the conclusion of a history we have persecuted since the days of Wacraft 3 and mostly loved. We worked for this moment for several years and no one will ever forget the moment when he finally defeated the legendary Lichking. The ice crown finish stays for us with the undisputed best raid in the history of WoW.
Doubts our opinion about the ranking of the RAIDs, or see other battles in top 5 – and if so, why? After all, there is more than 17 years so much RAIDs in WOW, which certainly deserves a place in our list. Borrows us and everyone else in the comments!
