Vampire: The Masquerade – Bloodlines 2 was almost completely canceled. Paradox examined at length the future RPG and almost decided to completely give up the project. Fortunately, the team behind the game got a land that made them change your mind.
We were actually ready to completely close the production , revealed Fredrik Wester, PDG Paradox. But, we had a pitch that we thought enough convincing enough to run. We have very good hope that it will be a good match that will meet the expectations of the players.
This has been a whole course for Vampire: The Masquerade – Bloodlines 2 since its first announcement in 2019, with a console and PC launch the following year. However, it s been two years since the announcement has been made and the game is still not released. Instead, Paradox has revealed to the players community earlier this year that they had decided to abandon hardside labs, the original developer of the game, as the main project team. They also confirmed that they delay indefinitely the official launch of the game and annulled any new pre-order.
We also decided that hardside Labs will no longer lead the development of Bloodlines 2, wrote paradox at the time. We got to the conclusion that a change is necessary.
As a result of this change, developers confirmed that More of development time is necessary. This was a difficult decision, they said. But, we are convinced that it s the right way to do justice to the game.
Vampire: The Masquerade – Bloodlines 2 was developed by Hardsuit Labs. However, they were removed from the project last February because of certain circumstances, such as the loss of its narrative leadership, namely the main Narrative CARA Ellison designer, creative director Ka ai Cluney and the main writer Brian Mitsoda.
Who will be the new developers remains unknown for the moment, but Wester suggested that the new company is a very renowned and talented developer who has successfully delivered a number of games in today s game world. We started a collaboration with a new partner studio to complete the work on the game, Paradox confirmed.
